West Valley City is quite literally rebuilding itself, transforming from a suburban bedroom community to a vibrant multi-cultural city with unique commercial districts, civic centers of activity, and recreational amenities. The city takes an active role in incentivizing targeted growth, development and redevelopment in order to promote sustainable economic growth, maintain a diverse business climate, expand job opportunities and ensure a high quality of life for West Valley citizens.
Redevelopment areas, Economic Development Areas, and Community Development Areas have been authorized in many areas of the city in order to meet these goals. West Valley City is seeking partners for major projects in the key areas described below, as well as those described in the “RDA Projects” download available on this page.
