West Valley City 2022 Year-End Review: The Capital Rolls In

29 Nov 2022

West Valley City, the second largest city in Utah, deserves to be known as “The City in Motion” because the economic successes keep rolling in. Fiscal year 2022 brought in approximately $216 million in capital investment.

West Valley City Economic Optimization Department (WVCEOD) actively leverages the City’s extensive assets to attract investors. The region boasts a skilled local workforce and an affordable cost of living in a prime location.

Not only are goods easily moved throughout the Intermountain West and beyond via convenient access to interstates, highways, air transport, and freight rail, but people want to live here. Nestled in the Salt Lake Valley between the Wasatch and Oquirrh mountain ranges, West Valley City puts you in touch with nature and outdoor recreation, as well as world-class shopping, impressive music venues, live theater, and unique “passport to the world” restaurants. While West Valley City has everything you need with a fantastic quality of life, Salt Lake City, the airport, and the University of Utah are mere minutes away. West Valley is that rare place where you can build your career and your life.

WVCEOD works to develop and maintain a diverse and vibrant economic base by supporting current businesses and providing entrepreneurs and site selectors with the resources needed for start-up, relocation, and expansion. While focusing on economic growth, WVCEOD keeps the City’s sense of place in mind, encouraging developers to make buildings attractive with modern facades, aesthetically pleasing entrances, and attention to green spaces and energy efficiency.
